Our Mission
PAS is a community foundation whose mission is to become the leading organization promoting excellence in social activities and civic engagement of the Iranian Diaspora by promoting, advancing and preserving Iranian arts and culture in the international arena.
Our Vision
PAS has established the following goals for its activities:
- Teaching the Persian language by:
- Teaching Persian to the youth and interested adults.
- Educating teachers of the Persian language
- Promoting Persian culture and civilization. PAS strives to familiarize Iranians and Americans with each others culture and history.
- The dissemination of Persian art, music, history, literature and culture to the public.
- Recognize and honor scholars, researchers and academicians of Persian culture, literature and history.
Ongoing Activities
- Expand Persian language classes which have been active for the past 18 years.
- Continue organizing the Persian and American national celebrations and ceremonies.
- Plan to establish a library and center for books, documents and collectibles of historical importance for the public and future generation use, by collecting important Persian and non-Persian books about Iran. These books, documents and collectibles may be acquired or donated by individuals or families.
- Continue to fund the publication of books by Iranian writers who need assistance to publish their books.
- Collaborating with other organizations with compatible goals.
- Continue organizing conferences, seminars and lectures by inviting knowledgeable, intellectual and expert personalities.
- Plan to establish a Persian American Community center for the above activities.
